Product Description

Buy Flashforge HS PLA filament in Nigeria and Ghana. Engineered for high-speed 3D printers, it melts and cools rapidly, supporting speeds up to 350+ mm/s. Official Generative CAD support.
Supercharge your production capabilities with Flashforge HS (High-Speed) PLA. This modified 1.75mm 3D printing filament is engineered specifically for modern, high-speed FDM/FFF 3D printers. Standard PLA simply cannot melt or cool fast enough to keep up with today's CoreXY machines, resulting in under-extrusion and sagging layers. Flashforge HS PLA solves this bottleneck with an advanced formulation that liquefies effortlessly at high print-head speeds and solidifies instantly upon extrusion. It is the ultimate material for print farms, prototyping labs, and creators across West Africa who need rapid, dimensionally accurate prints without sacrificing surface quality.

Why Choose the Flashforge HS PLA - 3D Printing Filament?
Time is money, especially when running high-volume printing operations or business production in Nigeria and Ghana. When pushed past 100 mm/s, standard PLA will struggle with extrusion gaps, poor overhangs, and brittle walls. Flashforge HS PLA is reinforced and toughened with superior melt fluidity, meaning it smoothly handles aggressive accelerations and print speeds ranging from 60 mm/s up to a staggering 350+ mm/s. Because it dissipates heat rapidly, your printer can lay down bridging and steep overhangs with crisp, clean details that would otherwise droop with regular filament.

Core Features & Benefits
Maximum Printing Speeds: Supports fluid printing up to 350+ mm/s without clogging, stringing, or stripping the extruder gear.

High Fluidity & Rapid Cooling: Melts up to twice as fast as standard PLA for smooth extrusion, then solidifies instantly for sharp corners and accurate overhangs.

Enhanced Toughness: Modified to reduce the brittle nature of basic PLA, giving parts superior bending strength and rigidity.

Exceptional Winding Precision: Tightly and uniformly wound on the spool to avoid mid-print tangles, keeping a strict diameter tolerance of ±0.02mm to ±0.03mm.

Eco-Friendly Base: Extracted from cornstarch, it retains the biodegradable, non-toxic, and low-odor characteristics of pure PLA

The Generative CAD (GCAD) Advantage
Generative CAD software is revolutionizing hardware design by generating organic, highly complex, and weight-optimized topologies. However, translating these intricate GCAD models into physical objects requires a filament that can handle constant retractions, varying extrusion speeds, and aggressive overhangs.

Product Maintenance

While PLA is incredibly forgiving, high-speed extrusions are highly sensitive to moisture. Micro-bubbles from absorbed humidity will expand rapidly at high speeds, causing stringing and rough surfaces. Dry Before Printing: For pristine surface quality, dry the spool at 50°C for 5 hours in a filament dryer or convection oven before loading it into your printer.
Proper Storage: Always store partially used spools in an airtight bag or container with desiccant to maintain a Relative Humidity (RH) below 20%.
Heat Scaling: Remember the golden rule of high-speed printing—as your print speed increases, your nozzle temperature must also increase to ensure the plastic melts fast enough to be pushed through the hot end.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Can I use Flashforge HS PLA on a standard, non-high-speed 3D printer?

Answer: Yes. While engineered for high speeds, HS PLA performs beautifully at standard speeds (40-60 mm/s). You will simply benefit from its excellent layer adhesion and smooth flow characteristics.

Question: Is this filament food-safe?

Answer: While the raw PLA material is FDA-approved and food-contact compliant, 3D printed parts have microscopic layer lines that can trap bacteria. We recommend coating prints with a food-safe epoxy if they will come into direct contact with perishables.

Question: Why are my high-speed prints coming out matte instead of glossy?

Answer: Printing at very high speeds often results in a matte or satin finish because the plastic is extruded and cooled so quickly. If you want a glossier finish, try slowing down the outer-wall print speed or slightly increasing the nozzle temperature.
